D. Hugo and Associates Inc., provides Healthcare Professionals with an assistance program that promotes early problem identification, assessment, referral, and follow-up to ensure quality patient care.

The DHA Healthcare Professionals Assistance Program mirrors the New York State Nurses Association Professional Assistance Program (PAP) established by NYS Education Law section 6510-b, article 130, title VIII. A resource for licensed professionals who “may be temporarily incapacitated for the active practice of a Profession” and whose alleged incapacity is the result of a problem with alcohol/drug abuse which has not resulted in harm to a patient or client.

The DHA Healthcare Professionals Assistance Program not only addresses alcohol and substance use but a variety of work /life/wellness issues that may interfere with their professional job performance and the quality of care they provide to patients.

The DHA Healthcare Professionals Assistance Program follows all the guidelines set by the following organizations:
