D. Hugo and Associates
Inc., provides Healthcare Professionals with an assistance
program that promotes early problem identification,
assessment, referral, and follow-up to ensure quality
patient care.
The DHA Healthcare Professionals
Assistance Program mirrors the New York State Nurses
Association Professional Assistance Program (PAP)
established by NYS Education Law section 6510-b,
article 130, title VIII. A resource for licensed
professionals who “may be temporarily incapacitated
for the active practice of a Profession” and
whose alleged incapacity is the result of a problem
with alcohol/drug abuse which has not resulted in
harm to a patient or client.
The DHA Healthcare Professionals
Assistance Program not only addresses alcohol and
substance use but a variety of work /life/wellness
issues that may interfere with their professional
job performance and the quality of care they provide
to patients.
